DIVE Turbinen GmbH & Co. KG was represented at the renewable energy fair „Renpower Uzbekistan“ from December 3rd – 4th 2019 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The fair had been organized in cooperation with the Uzbek ministry of energy. Uzbekistan is heading forward to a fast revolution towards renewable energies.
DIVE Turbinen GmbH & Co. KG presented its ongoing hydropower project Darkhan in Kazakhstan, as well as civil works designs and application areas for the DIVE-Turbine. Darkhan project is located at the river Keles, which is the border river between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The power plant will start operation in 2020. Its capacity is 2 x 2.1 MW. This project is part of the worldwide dena Renewable Energy Solutions Programme coordinated by the Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena) - the German Energy Agency - and supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) within the German Energy Solutions Initiative.
DIVE was represented at the fair by Christian Winkler, Sales Manager of DIVE Turbinen GmbH & Co. KG. Moreover, the Kazakh partner company Keles Hidro was present to answer the questions of the participants. The Uzbek TV was sending an interview with Christian Winkler about hydropower in irrigation systems. Besides DIVE Turbinen GmbH & Co. KG, five more exhibitors were presenting their technology – a solar company from China and Canada and the German Chamber of Commerce. The event is of great importance to the region as many representatives from ministries and companies were present.
The key issue discussed at the event was the planned and rapid change of energy supply from mainly gas towards renewable energies. Moreover, energy efficiency and prevention from transmission losses in the gas and energy grids were on the list of topics.
For DIVE Turbinen GmbH & Co. KG the event was of high importance, as the irrigation system of Uzbekistan is widely spread and covers hundreds of kilometers of channels, which offers a big potential for generating energy. DIVE Turbinen GmbH & Co. KG offers simple solutions to exploit the potential and use it for clean energy supply.
